Diversity Awareness Workshops

Diversity Awareness Workshops

We facilitate diversity awareness and training sessions for partner agencies across the voluntary and statutory sector on a wide range of diversity-themed issues, social policy, legislation and the implementation of good practice in relation to diverse communities. We deliver sessions in response to professional demand with agencies such as the police, the Dept. of Work and Pensions, Victim Care Unit, Red Cross, Housing, Social Care on a wide range of subjects such as ‘diversity awareness in client-led work,’ ‘no recourse to public funds’, female genital mutilation and honour-based violence.

Our training and information sessions are designed to help you to increase skills, knowledge and expertise on a personal and professional basis, to promote social justice and equity across the community.

We ran diversity awareness workshops with children and young people in Northern Devon schools and colleges. Our schools-based work challenges prejudice and racism in a fun and age-specific way, bringing greater acceptance  and understanding of the positive benefits that diversity brings into the community. Also opening young people’s perspective to the rich global context of humanity beyond Northern Devon.
