Photos & Videos: North Devon Diversity Festival 2016

North Devon Sunrise would like to say a big thank you to everybody who came along to this year’s Diversity Festival. We all had a great day, and really hope you did too – it felt a really special occasion, and we hope helped to build positive bridges across the community.

Live music was played by Katy Carr & the Aviators, Katre Luik and Carlos Sandoval, Heidi, Paull and Chilly, Ania Jobe, Sab-Beatz, Dambuskers and more. With workshops and performances by Rebecca Jefferies, Kay Browning, Samba Baia, Clive PiG, Beverly Naidoo, Rosa Rebecka, Nicola MacDonald, Belly Dancing Divas amongst others!

Volunteers worked alongside staff throughout the day, they were truly brilliant and helped make the day such a wonderful and positive celebration of diversity.

Feedback from those who attended, had stalls or ran activities has been overwhelmingly positive. There is a great desire for another Diversity Festival next year with some exciting ideas already being shared. With over 6,000 people attending (more than double last year) the festival is clearly valued by the diverse communities in North Devon.

Thanks again from all of us at North Devon Sunrise for your part in making it such a tremendous day.
